You may not know that Sweetums Signatures uses a direct to garment printer, or DTG printer, to create our awesome apparel and printed accessories. Many aren’t familiar with the DTG printing capabilities. However, there are many positives to this form of printing as opposed to traditional screen printing.

DTG printing is ideal for quick, small orders because of the minimal setup involved. Aside from design creation, the manual labor involved with printing on a DTG printer is far less than with screen printing.

Aside from its ability to tackle smaller orders, the DTG printer can also offer much higher quality prints than a screen printing method. Print photos, gradients of color, and more! Better yet, DTG printing can be much more environmentally friendly than screen printing because of the types of inks and other materials used. WIN WIN!

Perhaps someday down the road we will look to expand to screen printing, which will allow for accommodating very large quantity orders on different mediums. But for now our DTG, which we lovingly refer to as “Helga”, has been a really wonderful addition to our business by allowing us to expand our product offerings!
