Where it all began...

Sweetums Signatures started by accident actually. I had a corporate position where I traveled constantly; I was never home. Liking my job, but miserably missing my home, I did a little soul searching and took a chance…

The word “entrepreneur” is a word we throw around lightly in my family. My mom owns a flower shoppe and my dad owns a tent and table rental business. My in-laws own a salon and an excavating company, and my husband races sprint cars. So naturally it’s in my blood.

I purchased some equipment and started designing and manufacturing decals for my husbands race car. I mean really, how hard could it be? It took a long time to learn the programs and the equipment, but I loved every minute of it. From something that started so small, grew an addiction, a passion, and a way out of my corporate misery.

In January of 2007, Sweetums Signatures was born. I quit my corporate position soon after and never looked back. Since then we’ve added more help and more equipment. I work more then ever, but I absolutely love what I do, and I don’t travel away from home anymore. In October of 2010 my husband and I had our first child, a baby girl. I couldn’t imagine one day without her. I am so thankful for the many blessings in my life, and a true believer that everything really does happen for a reason.

About Our Designers

Ashleigh Picciuto
Ashleigh attended Bowling Green State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Technology in the Visual Communication Technology program where she specialized in photography and print. Ashleigh has been professionally editing photography since 2008 and began working closer with graphic design and print in 2010. Her love for design has grown as she had an opportunity to work as an in-house designer in early 2012. Since then, she has decided to branch out on her own and devote the majority of her time working with Sweetums Signatures. Along with her passion for photography and graphic design, she also has a love for interior design which makes for a great collaboration with Sweetums.

Ashleigh feels fortunate to do what she loves for a living and when she isn’t having fun behind the computer she loves to spend time outdoors with her husband Jim and their dog Avery. They are excpecting an edition to their beautiful family this winter :).





Margo Puffenberger
Margo comes up with many designs for Sweetums Signatures. She attended Kent State University where she graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor of arts degree in visual communications design with a minor in advertising.

Working as an in-house designer and freelance designer, she has successfully managed multiple projects from concept through production in a variety of mediums and continue to have the desire to work in all realms of graphic design. Our Production Team

Dillon Thornton
Dillon weeds out all of our designs and tapes the decals. He ships, runs errands and all of the above. He works at night during the day and even weekends as long as we provide dinner!



John Thornton
John also weeds out many of our designs. He does a lot of our application jobs from local customers. From semis to pickups, race cars and signs, you name it and John can apply it.



Nevelle Martin
Nevelle is the boss of this entire operation. Production many times needs to hault for her input, a new sippy cup of juice or color time. She oversees all operations and even helps make boxes.

Marketing

Robbi Drake
Robbi helps us to get Sweetums out to the online world. She is a former chat show host for WBS in Menlo Park, and her writing appears on technical manuals for companies around the world. A former customer service director for Charles Warner, the author of Invision Board; Copywriting, Word Press, marketing design and online security are her passions. She holds certifications in 17 different areas of computer science and business communications, as well as firefighting, hazmat and nursing and is "continuously going back to take unnecessary college classes". Additionally, Robbi has numerous magazine and book inclusions to her credit. Presently she markets, designs, and writes prolifically for multiple website clients. Robbi is an EFF supporter, a long time member of the ISOC, the International High IQ Association, The West Virginia Writers Guild, the WordPress Users Group, the GIMP Users Group and a broad range of other professional associations.
